Gold Medal Schools Program in 2017

The Cathy Freeman Foundation believes in the power of educati

on and by connecting with schools around Australia, together we can continue to close the education gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous children. The Foundation has created the Gold Medal Schools program to engage, empower and inspire student leaders to become young change-makers.

The goals of the Gold Medal Schools program workshops are to:

  • Inspire students to initiate positive change through fundraising and philanthropy

  • Discuss the gap in education between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians

  • Learn about the impact that the Cathy Freeman Foundation has made in partner communities

  • Empower students by discussing ideas, sharing tips and building a practical fundraising plan

Students will leave with a sound understanding of the importance of the work of the Cathy Freeman Foundation and a practical plan on how they can make a positive difference in their community to support Indigenous education.

There are strictly limited places available for each workshop. Please register your school by clicking here and completing the online form. Once received, we will confirm that your registration places have been reserved. If you have any questions, contact the Foundation’s Fundraising & Events Manager, Luke Toebelmann on (03) 9686 4813 or luke@cathyfreemanfoundation.org.au.
