2016 was no doubt the year of the supporter for the Cathy Freeman Foundation. Over the years the Cathy Freeman Foundation programs have reached thousands of Indigenous children to help them reach their potential in school and help build brighter futures.
"Our program work would not be possible without the kindness and generosity of the wonderful people that support the Cathy Freeman Foundation, from our corporate supporters to every day mums and dads. We have some of the best supporters in the world who dedicate their spare time to raising vital funds that allow us to create and deliver inspiring and life-changing educational programs," said Jamie Howden, CEO of the Cathy Freeman Foundation.
"We sincerely thank each and every one of you and hope that you continue to support education programs for Indigenous children in 2017," said Jamie.
We also extend our gratitude to our partner communities who continue to embrace the work of the Cathy Freeman Foundation and welcome us into their communities each year.
“Integral to the work that we do are our community partners and I’d like to start the year by thanking the hard working teachers, students and their families who each year make us feel welcome and allow us to be part of their school journey," said Jamie.
“It is a privilege to be welcomed into these beautiful communities and I look forward to continuing to learn from our community partners and welcoming 2017 with greater wisdom and strength so that together we can inspire and change the lives of even more Indigenous children through education," said Cathy Freeman.
